Painting with Fire 5
I am so pleased to have been invited to contribute to Painting with Fire, Volume 5. The Early Bird pricing is $249 for a year’s worth of videos, with lifetime access, from 27 awesome instructors. It’s a really good deal with so much information to access on your own schedule. You can go back and watch again at any time.
Here’s how it works. Each artist has a Profile, a Main tutorial and a Mini tutorial. My Main lesson is “Critique Thyself! (and live to paint again)”. I will provide a realistic framework for assessing and critiquing your own work. It focuses on a clear and positive method to compare what you have accomplished with what you thought you were doing (not always the same!). I’ll provides ways to align the two visions or maybe even change your direction. I’ll give you some tips on how to see your work with fresh eyes and with an open mind free of negativity.
The Mini, “What’s in a Name?”, will be about the positive outcomes of framing the reception of your work with titles. We often hear artists saying they want their work to speak for itself. Yes, it should, and can. But, a good and meaningful title can expand the experience of looking at a piece for all kinds of audiences.
