Life has been busy lately, keeping me out of the studio. So today I started up again, putting a third layer on a work on paper. The first layer was a drawing in encaustic on 24 by 24-inch Rive BFK paper. The second layer was a wash of oil and wax paint. Today’s layer was a graphite drawing that i usually paint over again. But I have decided to leave this one as it is. It feels like several conversations going on at once. We’ll see what I feel about it once it’s mounted onto a cradled panel.
