I gave a demonstration recently, showing the mechanics of layering wax, paint, and drawing in constructing a painting. Today in the studio, I started reworking the samples, adding additional layers, playing with figure and ground. This is 24″ x 24″ on Rives BFK paper, encaustic, oil, and graphite.
